MSR MiniWorks/WaterWorks Ceramic Element Replacement Filter Cartridge
The MSR MiniWorks/WaterWorks Ceramic Element is the replacement Marathon™ EX filter cartridge designed to extend the life and restore the performance of the MSR MiniWorks EX and WaterWorks EX microfilters, as well as older models. This high-performance element combines a 0.2-micron ceramic shell that removes 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium) with an integrated activated carbon core that reduces unpleasant tastes, odors, chlorine, and pesticides. With a total cartridge life of up to 2,000 liters, the ceramic element can be field-cleaned numerous times by simply abrading its surface with the included scrub pad to restore flow, providing almost 100% recovery after each cleaning. For older MiniWorks and WaterWorks models, this replacement element also increases the flow rate by 25%, improving overall efficiency. The element weighs 3.8 oz (107g), measures 4.6 inches in length, and is compatible with the AirSpring Accumulator™ pump system.
