The MSR HyperFlow Microfilter is the lightest and smallest pump filter in the MSR lineup, weighing just 7.8 ounces and designed for fast-paced backpacking where every gram counts. Its advanced 0.2-micron hollow fiber technology provides a remarkably fast flow rate of 3 liters per minute (one liter in just 20 pumps) while removing 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa, meeting strict NSF Protocol P231 standards. The filter includes a Quick Connect bottle adapter for direct filling of wide-mouth containers, an attached pre-filter to protect the cartridge from large particles, and requires no tools for field maintenance. The hollow fiber cartridge treats up to 1,000 liters over its lifetime, though regular backflushing is recommended to maintain optimal flow performance. The HyperFlow is effective against bacteria, protozoa, and particulates, but it does not remove viruses, chemicals, or heavy metals.
