Two-Stage Filtration Technology
The system uses a two-stage process: a 0.2-micron hollow fiber membrane removes 99.9999% of bacteria (including E. coli and Salmonella), 99.9% of protozoa (such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium), as well as sediment and microplastics . An integrated activated carbon component reduces chemicals, unpleasant tastes, and odors . It meets U.S. EPA drinking water standards and NSF Protocol P231 for microbiological removal .

Durable, Military-Proven Design
Proven through more than a decade of U.S. military use, the filter features rugged ultrasonic-welded housing for durability . It is important to note that this is a microfilter, not a purifier, and does not remove viruses. For protection against viruses, the manufacturer recommends adding two drops of household bleach to a gallon of treated water and waiting 30 minutes .
